My Grandpa passed away at 6:00 AM this morning. He had been sick for a long time, but he had bounced back so many times that his death really surprised all of us. He was a wonderful man and he loved his family so much. I am glad he was lucid until late yesterday and that he didn't linger for a long time with the pain he was in. My brother and his fiance are in town for Christmas so they got to go down and see him before he died.
We didn't get to go because I am on official bed rest now to try to control my contractions, which started about a week ago and got very strong before Christmas. I am on several drugs to control the ever-present nausea (throwing up triggers strong contractions) and even stupid things like washing my hair or even rolling over in bed start them back up again, so I am really stuck. (This pregnancy is only halfway over, and I am trying very hard not to be negative, but what a shitty turn of events. Have I mentioned that I hate pregnancy? I keep wondering why I even attempted it again and then Lauren does something sweet and I start hoping that it will all be worth it like it was with her!)
Christmas really was wonderful and Lauren had such a great time with her uncle! It snowed almost a foot here and we got some really cute pictures today of her making a little "snow child" and lots of snow angels. I'll post some tomorrow!

Oh Jenn, I am so sorry for the loss of your Grandpa. It sounds like he was a wonderful man.
Also, praying hard for you and the little one you are carrying.
Oh Jenn, you are right..what a shitty turn. So not fair. Maybe your third trimester will be perfect and you will fly through it with no issues. Are you on Trebutaline? ugghh...make you anxious and jittery? No FUN!!!!!
Im also really sorry about your Papa. Very sad. Very sad time of the year, but he looks quite happy in the chair with Lauren.
BTW-? Did you guys find out the sex?

Sorry about your grandpa.
Are you on terbutaline? I got once shot of it once, it didn't make me so jittery, I think because I knew it COULD, that helped.
When my grandma passed, one of my cousins was pregnant. Two months later, my cousin gave birth to an exact clone of my grandmother. I mentioned that grandma had a mini-me that never got to meet her. Of course everybody saw the resemblance, and the timing. Anyhow, you may be carrying a baby grandpa! Sorry your grandpa won't get to meet him (or her).
